BRIEFING SESSION ABOUT THE ENTRANCE EXAM
A briefing session will be held as follows, regarding the entrance examination for prospective students interested in entering the Department of Advanced Social and International Studies as a graduate student in April 2025.

NOTE
- USE OF TOEFL AND IELTS IN THE MASTER’S PROGRAM ENTRANCE EXAM FOR THE 2025 ACADEMIC YEAR:
In the entrance exam for the master’s program of the Department of Advanced Social and International Studies (hereafter DASIS) for the 2025 academic year (held in this academic year), DASIS will require applicants to submit one of the following score sheets of English language tests.
Please consider the number of days it will take to receive the results of each examination.- Score sheets of either TOEFL iBT (including TOEFL iBT Home Edition) or IELTS Academic Module taken within two years from the time of application.
- For the TOEFL iBT, submit a copy of the Test Taker Score Report sent to you by ETS (Education Testing Service) or a printout of the Test Taker Score Report that can be downloaded from your ETS account. Direct submissions from ETS are not acceptable. TOEFL ITP test scores will not be accepted.
- For IELTS, a copy of the Test Report Form sent to the applicant by the governing body (e.g., Eiken Foundation of Japan) must be submitted. Direct submission by the governing body is not acceptable. Scores from the General Training Module, IELTS Online Version, or IELTS Progress Check will not be accepted.
For the TOEFL iBT Score Report, only the Test Date Score will be used as the application score; the My Best Score will not be used.

- The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is comprised of two individual graduate courses: the graduate course in International Relations and the graduate course in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. Prospective students are to choose (only) one out of the two courses to apply for, and to sit for the entrance examination of that particular course.
